About
Reagan Daughtry is an animal welfare advocate and blogger who found her calling while working at an animal shelter as a rescue coordinator. Her journey began as a volunteer and intern at Cameron Park Zoo in Waco, where she developed a deep passion for animals. Reagan then gained knowledge in dog behavior and open play at Dogtopia, but it was working at the shelter where she truly found her place, fighting for animal welfare and positive outcomes.
Today, Reagan works for a national organization that focuses on helping shelters around Houston. She collaborates with her team to implement programs that better serve the animals in the care of shelters and create positive working relationships with the community. Reagan is a strong advocate for animal rights and uses her writing to raise awareness about the importance of animal welfare.
Reagan has two furry friends of her own, Jack, a talkative lab, and Dominic, a quirky short-stack pit bull. She is always on the lookout for new ways to support the animal community and shares her experiences and insights through her writing.
